Traffic on The Embarcadero never stops. The good news is that if you wait until sun down, the lights and the Ferry Building really make the palm trees glow.

Almost Sunset
Market Street is a busy scene, lots of things happening and people going every direction. Just before the sun went down I had a clear view all the way to the Ferry Building and some nice light with the sun low in the sky.
Last Light
Some say sunset is the best, but for those with some patience to wait 25 seconds for a long exposure, the time just after sunset can really let the city lights shine.
I Miss New York City
The big city of dreams, the city that never sleeps, the home of Liz Lemon. All great things. This was a particularly fun night walking around NYC and keeping our eyes looking up. 30 Rockefeller Plaza is spectacular in the way it lights up the night sky.
Don’t Look Directly at the Sun
It’s OK to point your camera at the sun, though, especially if you get a sun star and rainbow like this! Sometimes lens flare isn’t such a bad thing!
City Streaker
It was almost time for dinner. Thankfully I wasn’t hungry yet and snuck in a few long exposure shots just after the sun went down and the sky still had the faintest light. A guest appearance by some light traffic added popping color.
What Once Was
Once people walked on these floors and these stairs. Now they are no more.
Available
There is lots of available office space. I found this excellent example of a brand new and never occupied building. The lines of it are modern and sharp, so it did serve my purposes of creating an image on this overcast day.
Look Up!
While walking the streets of Boston, I decided to take a moment to look up instead of down.
