Traffic on The Embarcadero never stops. The good news is that if you wait until sun down, the lights and the Ferry Building really make the palm trees glow.

The Underground
There seems to be a bit of excitement around London the last few days, so I dug one of my shots of the city out of the archive and processed it. Night photos like this always take awhile to setup, and this one was no exception as I had to wait for a group of friends to sort out their way home while teetering on the top of these steps. Ultimately they make a good decision to take the tube instead of driving, and more importantly they get out of my shot!
Missing the 23 Bus
The sweeping curve of the buildings on this street is unique on its own, but the traffic zooming by at night is what really makes it come to life. I wasn’t actually trying to catch this bus, but the driver thought I was for a minute until she saw the camera setup and happily drove by to give me the light trails I was looking for.
I Left My Heart…

Wires Over City
Sometimes even the buses have to turn around and go back to where they came from. Such is the purpose of these wires in San Francisco. They provide electricity to the buses, and this is the end of one particular route, so the bus makes a u-turn and follows the wires back. I liked the way the center of the U stood out against the sunset that was just starting to happen.
Early Morning
I had time for a few quick photos on my way from the bus stop to one of my favorite sunrise locations, the bean in Millennium Park. This particular building with some morning traffic in front of it was worth the stop.
Four Cupcakes
Some people look pretty interested in this window display of cupcakes. Other people not so much. All that I have to say is that they tasted delicious!
