Classic Murray

I bet someone used to love this bike, and now it has been taken on as a project. The owner of this shop was very proud of all of the antique bikes he had fixed up, including this old red Murray. It was made in 1959, and you won’t find a new one with this kind of style anymore.

All Hallows’ Eve

There probably isn’t much trick or treating going on at this old cemetery…

Dearly Departed

This is just one example of the intricate headstones at the Granary Burying Ground in Boston. Old cemeteries such as this one, founded in 1660, have a completely different feel to them than modern cemeteries.

What Once Was

Once people walked on these floors and these stairs. Now they are no more.

The Cottonwood

The Cottonwood is a fantastic old ski lodge overlooking Truckee, CA that has been restored as a restaurant. An abandoned ski lift stands nearby that used to take skiers up all 700 feet of available vertical. Since then the resorts in Tahoe have greatly expanded their terrain, but this place remains to show what skiing in the area used to be like.

San Gervasio

The amazing Cathedral of San Gervasio in Valladolid Mexico occupied much of my time on my visit. Who wouldn’t be taken by the structure and the dramatic sky in the background? I arrived just in time to get a couple of shots before a huge bus pulled up and parked itself right in front and people were swarming everywhere. I guess timing is everything!

Tulum

Ancient Mayan ruins at Tulum looking out at the Caribbean Sea.

Old Stump

Massive is probably an understatement for this old stump. It is very very large, and the way all the old roots stick up in the air is pretty dramatic.

A Royal Antique

A dusty old typewriter is something you don’t see around much anymore.

This Used to be Something…

I’m just not quite sure what it used to be. It is in a prime location in Healdsburg, but certainly looks to be in disrepair!
