When I saw this bridge I knew I had to stop. I like the way the old train bridge is reaching up into the cloudy sky, while the tracks run off in different directions below.
The Split
Last Light
I spent last weekend in Tahoe, and while it wasn’t a photo trip, I did sneak a few in. This one of the sunset from Round Hill Pines Beach is one of my favorites.
San Gervasio
The amazing Cathedral of San Gervasio in Valladolid Mexico occupied much of my time on my visit. Who wouldn’t be taken by the structure and the dramatic sky in the background? I arrived just in time to get a couple of shots before a huge bus pulled up and parked itself right in front and people were swarming everywhere. I guess timing is everything!
365
I did it! I posted a photograph a day for 365 days in a row… but now what? Honestly the one year milestone snuck up on me. This photo blog has become a big part of my routine! I’ve added a lot of new content, and I’ve processed and added old content that might have otherwise sat idle on my hard drive. It has been fun and I’ve certainly learned a lot and gotten better at what I do. I’m going to keep this website around and active, but not on a daily basis for awhile. Hopefully you stick around and see something you like!
Rushing
The top portion of South Fork Silver Creek Falls. I made sure to take a low angle on this shot to get as close as I could to the cool rushing water.
Moonrise
I saw a massive moon rising over the highway on my way home recently. Of course, I didn’t have my camera with me. By the time I got back to this spot, the moon had risen further and become smaller in the sky. The sun continued to set behind me, so the sky did become more colorful. Overall I like the lights of the traffic, the sky, and of course the way the moon turned out!
Twisted Vines
These vines in my yard are always on the move. Normally they are trying to make their way across the yard. This time, they just decided to wind themselves into a bunch. If I didn’t know better I’d think someone planted magic beans and Jack was ready to climb up this beanstalk any minute.
I Left My Heart…
…in San Francisco. Probably somewhere by this intersection. I don’t know exactly what it is, but I always love the way the wires for the electric buses criss-cross over the intersections in this city.
Clear Skies, Good Ventilation, Adequate Security
The roof of the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco is something you must see, assuming you like seeing what vegetation would be living here if the building wasn’t here. It also has a unique automatic ventilation system, and a video camera to provide some security from hoodlums.
