This one is all about the contrasting colors! Blue on green, and I like it.
A Night on Capitol Mall
This photo is dominated by the U.S. Bank Tower in Sacramento, whose bright lights slowly change color all night. You can also see the glowing golden Tower Bridge off in the distance. I was out to take advantage of some clouds in the sky, which won’t be that common for the rest of the summer.
Farmer’s Market
The farmer’s market in Sacramento is a great place to get all kinds of food, and it is also an excellent place to people watch. I like the way the location under the highway adds some depth to this shot.
Day Lilies
I looked out my window just before sunset and saw these day lilies in full bloom. I took advantage of the light just in time before they were covered in the shadows. Instead of focusing on one of them I decided to show how many of them there were in one frame.
Underwater Garden
This shot reminded me of a garden, although it is like nothing you would see above sea level. I captured this in Cozumel. The combination of soft corals with the light reflecting off the surface made this trip very memorable.

A spring flower pushing out its beautiful buds to get ready for summer.

Bottom of the Stairs
The view of the bottom of some of the 294 steps to the top of the Bunker Hill Monument in Boston. I’m a photographer, but I’m also an engineer so I was impressed with the structure and the patterns inside of the tower.
