The current can be strong, there is no use fighting it. Sometimes it is just best to grow with the flow.

I was focused on the spotted moray eel for this shot, but then a little cleaner shrimp popped into the frame. Maybe they had some kind of arrangement to share this little hole in the bottom of the sea.

I’ve been thinking about the lack of scuba diving in my life recently, so I decided to process this photo of some corals. Like most things underwater, it wasn’t very interesting until I lit it up with my strobe, and then the colors other than blue really started to show.

As seen in Cozumel, the message is universal.

This shot reminded me of a garden, although it is like nothing you would see above sea level. I captured this in Cozumel. The combination of soft corals with the light reflecting off the surface made this trip very memorable.

A ferry ride home from Cozumel made for a great trip, and a view of some interesting cloud formations such as these four offsetting the moon.

I was surrounded by these little fish diving in Cozumel. OK, I might have scared a few off by swimming by and bursting a few flashes from my camera!

I live in Northern California where there are plenty of scuba diving opportunities available, only they all involve very cold water. When I go somewhere warm I try to dive whenever I can. With that in mind I made sure I took the short ferry ride from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel to get a day of diving in. I was rewarded with these beautiful soft corals.
