Some cities just have a certain style. I bet you recognize this one without me telling you where it is.

A boardwalk makes the trip back down from Old Baldy a lot less sandy. As a kid I made the trek up this 93 foot high sand dune many times. Even though I’ve summited much higher places on earth since, this one will always have special memories.

I just got back from Wyoming. There was lots of fresh snow to ski on every day, and as an added bonus I got to get up close and personal with some pretty big wildlife!

It’s a simple concept really, you just ski around the trees.

I can’t take all the credit for this one, a friend pointed out the way this water was curved on a hike at Squaw Valley. I took the liberty of playing with the harsh light and shadows to help bring out the curve of water.

The top portion of South Fork Silver Creek Falls. I made sure to take a low angle on this shot to get as close as I could to the cool rushing water.

On a hike out after a day of back country skiing, I was rewarded with this intense sunset. The mountains provided the perfect venue to take it all in and relax for a minute before heading back to the cabin. What a great day!

This photo sums up my weekend pretty well. Sunny days and plenty of vineyards and wine. I was in Healdsburg and had an excellent time!

I happened to be at Harvard on a clear night with a full moon. What a sight the beautiful campus was under the clear skies!
