Standing behind this waterfall under the rock shelf meant being out of the rain, but the powerful Seljalandsfoss is 200 feet tall and produces a lot of mist. My camera and I got pretty wet, but it was worth it to be able to experience this close up.

Today is World Turtle Day, and to celebrate, check out this green turtle I encountered while snorkelling in Hawaii. I hadn’t seen very much until this guy started swimming towards me! I could almost hear him say “You lookin’ at me?” but I think he just caught his reflection in my lens and wanted to have a look. This left me with a great opportunity for a close up!

Hiking in the rain can be fun. Sure you get wet. Sure you worry about your photography gear. Maybe you sink your shoes in the mud. You can also be rewarded with not only wildflowers but also raindrops that are well placed on their petals.
A Chilling Sunrise
Sunrise photos take work. Sometime it is just getting up when you don’t want to, but this time it was standing around in some chilly weather waiting for the sun to show up that took effort. The clouds were low on the horizon so it took a little extra time for the sun to find a gap in the clouds and light up the icicles just right.
