I miss the Oregon coast. I really like the way the horizon fades away into a fuzz and then into the sky in this shot. A great day for a drive down the coast!

Fuzzy Horizon
Rocky Shores
Calm tide pools nearby, crashing waves and jagged rocks reaching up out of the ocean in the distance.
Ready for Summer
See, I told you I was ready for summer! Ok, maybe I’m not quite ready, but these kayaks sure are. They are just waiting for the right person to come along and rent them for a nice paddle off Cape Cod.

Going Home is Hard to Do
This was a familiar scene for me last week, and it was a hard one to leave. I love winters in California, they are mild in Sacramento with fantastic mountains and skiing nearby, but after a week on the beach in Mexico I’m having a hard time adjusting to my regularly scheduled life.
Tree on Beach
Most of the beaches I saw in Oregon were pretty clean, but this one was particularly neat and free of anything other than sand. Except of course for this one washed up tree.
The Conga Line
This wasn’t exactly what I was expecting to see on the opening night of the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento, but when the opportunity arose I had my camera ready to capture this unique silhouette. Apparently someone had organized a conga line, and it just so happened to pass right in front of a ocean scape mural to provide a two tone backdrop.
Pismo Beach Pier
This photo might not make you think of Thanksgiving, but it was where I spent Thanksgiving a few years ago! The Pismo Beach Pier at sunset was a pretty great place to be.
