I wasn’t around back then, but this bridge has been working hard since that year to collect moss.

A gull keeps a watchful eye over the waves.

I just wanted to go for a hike on a nice spring day, but this trail looked like it wanted to take me all the way up into the sky.

These tulips just scream, “spring is here!”

It might be winter, but these palms sure make me feel like summertime.

The path of this trail cuts away the earth, so you can see not only the trees above, but the roots below.

Carson peak rises above Silver Lake with just a dusting of snow. I was lucky enough to get an early storm a few days before my trip to see the fall colors, and it made the wait for the sun to rise above the mountains worth it.

The fall colors are winding down but I’m not done just yet. These Eastern Sierra aspens were a nice mix of yellows and greens and bright sunlight shining through!

I’ve recently had a few unwelcome visitors in the house. Normally I wouldn’t find a fly that interesting, but this one was slowing down in his old age and did a good job of posing. I offered him one photo op before sending him to the trash can.
