This lighthouse is in a unique location. It is at the tip of Cape Code in Massachusetts. To reach it, you must cross a long breakwater. I was warned by some locals not to linger too long, or the tide may come in and make for either a very wet return, or an evening out on the Cape. This isn’t exactly a sunset shot for that very reason, but I was able to make use of the sun with the time that I had.

The Lighthouse
Rocky Shores
Calm tide pools nearby, crashing waves and jagged rocks reaching up out of the ocean in the distance.
Sunrays
I got this shot on the ferry ride back from Cozumel after a day of diving. Sure, I took some OK shots underwater, but this one is my favorite. Seeing the sun bursting through the clouds with the ships on the horizon was a great way to end the day.
Admiring the View
I’m pretty sure this guy was out doing the exact same thing I was. Just enjoying the sun and the waves, and checking out the view of the ruins at Tulum. Maybe he was just a bit more hungry for attention than I was, but who can blame him.
End of the Cape
Once you climb the stairs of the Pilgrim Monument, you are rewarded with a view of the end of Cape Cod. That little strip of sand out there is the very tip of Cape Cod with the Provincetown Harbor in the foreground.
Elevated Tracks
An old train bridge on Cape Cod. This bridge is a vertical lift that raises the center section straight up parallel to the water below. It was an interesting design, and the sharp metal edges against the cloudy sky made for a cool photo.
My Sediments Exactly
An interesting pattern of sediment flowing into the San Francisco Bay. It might not be so pretty when you are in the water, but from up in the air it made a multicolor design.
Sunset Through the Trees
I like photographing trees. If I can get something interesting like this sunset in the background, all the better.
