Get out there and enjoy the flowers. This bee certainly is!

Bighorn Sheep
I have a history of getting up close and personal with wildlife on what are supposed to be ski trips. When life doesn’t give you fresh snow you make the most of it and take wildlife photos! This bighorn sheep was hanging out above the Rio Grande on the rocks along the trail just waiting for us. He checked us out for awhile before making his way down the steep edge of the river out of sight.
Classic Murray
I bet someone used to love this bike, and now it has been taken on as a project. The owner of this shop was very proud of all of the antique bikes he had fixed up, including this old red Murray. It was made in 1959, and you won’t find a new one with this kind of style anymore.
Leaves in the Sun
The colors in the sky were great, but I wasn’t in a good spot to get a classic sunset photo. After getting over that disappointment, I found something better and decided to shoot these leaves that weren’t ready to fall off the tree and were a great way to add some silhouettes to the sunset.
Happy Thanksgiving
This turkey doesn’t need a presidential pardon. He is happy living the good life in California. When I spotted him on a hike I was happier to see him than he was to see me. The situation didn’t escalate, but he made it clear I needed to give him space to do his thing! I got this photo from a somewhat safe distance and was on my way. Hope you enjoy Thanksgiving!
Don’t Look at My Bum!
Cheeky Bum Looker! I can’t help but think of that old SNL quote when I see this picture. I got pretty close to this lizard and I think the look on his face shows that he wasn’t thrilled I was there!
Flying Lady
The old Cadillac was very cool, but I wanted to focus on just the hood ornament. Going for a macro shot meant I could really make it look like she was flying.
The Elusive Hummingbird
Often chased but rarely captured, a hummingbird is one of those photos I tend to obsess over. This time I was able to be close enough and get the light right to capture the colors of this crazy little bird.
