Taken at the Grand Palace in Bangkok, Thailand. I really loved the crazy colors on these statues. Getting a shot of them from below let me show off their intricate colored tiles against the gold temple and blue sky.

Sunlit Architecture
Interesting architecture at Chico State. Meriam Library has a unique open courtyard in the center that lets all the sunlight in!
Mountain Moss
Brightly colored yellow and orange moss covers the rocks on top of Round Top in the Sierra Nevadas. Not exactly what I was expecting to find at the end of this long winter hike, but it certainly made the cold rocks more interesting.
Radio Towers
The radio towers on top of Alpine Meadows. This scene is a short hike from the top of the Cornice Six lift, and is on your way to much of the better terrain that the mountain has to offer.
Snow Study #1
After an overnight snowfall in Lake Tahoe these branches were overweighted with snow, creating a cool pattern.
Cenote Divers
This was taken while scuba diving in a cenote in Mexico. A cenote is an underground cave with fresh water flowing through it. They can continue on for miles and miles underground with occasional rocky cave like openings. There isn’t much in the way of wildlife down here, but cenote diving makes up for that with the interesting rock formations and effects from the light that you get from diving in a dark cave. This was my first time diving in a cenote and I was very impressed! What you see in the top of the frame is the surface of the water sending light ripples down into the water below.
Under the Hood
An experiment in shooting wide. I love the feeling I can get out of my wide angle lens and have probably abused it at times. I try to not use it to “get it all in the shot” but instead to create perspective. I like the way the distorted effect here made the angles of this car even more dramatic.
Ice Study
The cold harsh waters of the Algoma Wisconsin Harbor in winter. The broken ice chunks were like little icebergs floating around the protected area of the harbor. Certainly not a body of water you wanted to take a swim in.
