I was lucky enough to see our national bird up close and personal on a trip to my home state of Wisconsin. I like this angle of him, perched on a branch right before he swooped over Lake Michigan looking for fresh fish. You can tell he is wary of me, but also has his eye on the prize in the lake below.

The Millennium Bridge crosses the River Thames in London, and is an excellent contrast to the iconic St. Paul’s Cathedral in the background. Many people pass here everyday as their typical commute, but I had to stop and admire the new architecture in front of the old classics.
