Mount Yotei located by Niseko Japan. I was here on a ski trip to enjoy the very light powder with friends, and this view of the long dormant volcano every morning was a great way to start the day.

Memories
That guy off in the distance is a great friend that I won’t be able to ski with again. This is an older photo, but I still remember this day as clearly as yesterday, along with many other amazing times. I miss you Glen.
Two Cranes
An ongoing construction project for Sutter Hospital in Sacramento was the inspiration for this photo. I drive past these cranes every day, and wanted to make a night shot incorporating them. I waited until they were lined up and found a vantage point nearby to take this long exposure. I dig the way it shows the city at night.
The Varsity
The Varsity Theater in Ashland Oregon. I was just going to continue strolling on by, but a perfect scene of theater goers in front of this old building made for a nice photo!
Spooky Hotel
I have a confession. This hotel really isn’t spooky, I just made it look a little spooky. Taking advantage of some wide angle distortion and a threatening sky gave the Ashland Springs Hotel a completely different look.
Windswept Powder
A pleasant slope with some windswept powder available for the taking. All you have to do is jump in and poach that line.
Sunset Trees
There was a brief time tonight when the sky just lit up. I ran out with my camera to a park and found some trees to add to the foreground. This is the result. The trees are just starting to bud out here, so you can still see through the branches to the beautiful clouds behind them.
