The Christmas Tree as seen in 2008 in front of the State Capitol of California. I have a Christmas party tonight so I thought this photo was appropriate!

Capitol Christmas
Three Palms
I’m going to do one more quick and dirty photo from the dreaded camera phone, and then I’ll get back to business. This one is from downtown Sacramento, and heavily processed by one of those ever so clever vintage apps. It works well for this one, giving the palms trees an old California feel and letting them stand out against a modern building in the background. Enjoy!
Fake Funnel Cloud
I came home to a computer that wouldn’t power on, so tonight I’m posting a photo I snapped with my phone from my office the other day. This type of cloud formation is from a plane passing through a cloud layer above, causing water to drop and disrupt the clouds below. I thought it looked like a mini funnel cloud, and my midwest background told me to take cover!
One Red Leaf
It is safe to say that fall is winding down so I will have to stop posting so many leaf photos soon. I need to get this one out there before it gets too far into winter so here goes. This one red leaf on the lawn struck me as it contrasted the other mostly yellow leaves on the grass.
Cheese Please
This cheese stand at the farmer’s market in San Francisco was hard to pass up. The woman next to me was buying some very delicious looking cheese!
From the Water
A view of Coit Tower in San Francisco from the water. I snapped this on my way into the city on the ferry. It looks fairly calm, but it was hard to get a steady shot the way that the boat was rocking!
Four Cupcakes
Some people look pretty interested in this window display of cupcakes. Other people not so much. All that I have to say is that they tasted delicious!
Yellow Ginkgo
These tiny ginkgo leaves leaves looked like they hadn’t even grown to their full size, but they were already yellow and ready to fall off the tree.
Sacramento Fall Street
Scenic T Street in Sacramento looks even better in the fall. The huge old twisting trees lining the street really light it up as their leaves change.
